Christopher J. Hogan
earned his law degree in 1997 from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
Mr. Hogan has represented individuals and businesses in a wide range of civil matters, performing both
plaintiff and defense work. Prior to opening his own practice, he worked as an attorney at the Los Altos,
California, firm of Nelson, Perlov & Lee, and the Walnut Creek, California, firm of Sellar, Hazard, McNeely & Manning.
Mr. Hogan has represented clients at arbitrations, mediations and trials. With insurance and legal costs rising to
unprecedented levels, his emphasis is on settling disputes early on in the negotiation process. Mr. Hogan has had
substantial experience in complex construction defect litigation and supports proper legislative initiatives designed
to curtail frivolous - and costly - claims.
Other examples of Mr. Hogan's past work include real estate sales disputes and foreclosures, mechanics liens,
personal injury (plaintiff and defense), insurance litigation, and zoning disputes. He has handled a variety of
business disputes involving breach of contract claims. He believes that a small dedicated firm can handle most of
the legal needs of its customers, and at reasonable cost, and is concerned that attorney services have become too
specialized, and too costly, for many individuals and businesses. Mr. Hogan continues to try new methods designed
to improve and expand his services to his clients.
